People with backgrounds from outside the industry can bring fresh ideas and brighten up the sales.

I also agree with the option of having a mix of both since the translation and localization industry has its unique features.

I haven’t the faintest idea. The only thing I know for sure is that no marketing campaign can outlast a bad product or service, whether the sales team is internal or external...

Great idea!

Let's enrich the industry already filled with people who can't and shouldn't be translating with the sales reps who wouldn't have a slightest idea of what the heck they are selling.
