Thanks to Bertha for this very interesting information. Now if you assign 3 points to a champion and 1 point to a runner-up you get:



Brazil: 14 points

Germany: 12 points

Argentina: 7 points

Italy: 7 points



On the other hand, of you concentrate on the last 30 years (say 1970 to 1998) you get:



Germany: 8 points

Argentina: 7 points

Brazil: 7 points

In a few hours Argentina will define who stays and who goes against Sweden . I feel strongly for my team but I can not agree with Leonardo. A game is a game, and we should respect those who give their best effort. Not all Argentinians are arrogant.

When the World cup is held in the Americas the title stays there and it is in Europe a European team wins. This year we have the interesting circumstance that it is taking place neither here nor in the Americas ....
