Hi:

I sometimes encounter questions with the note that I was
not among the ones selected to look at the question.

How can I send questions specifying who receives it?

Thanks

Zareh Darakjian

Hi Zareh Jun 13, 2004

I don't know what you're talking about.
Can you copy such a message and explain where you see it? Or give specific examples?

Thanks

Claudia

It's in your profile Jun 14, 2004

When a Kudoz question is entered, the asker selects the language combination and the area of specialisation concerned.

The question is then sent automatically to all the members who have included those parameters in their profile.

Thanks, Claudia and Julia.

Yes, Julia that's a way of doing it. But I have, and I don't know if you have,
seen messages on certain questions saying something to the effect that
I cannot look at that qustion since I was not among those intedned to view
it... this does not seem to be related to questsions outside of my field. Surely,
you can look at all the questions you wish to look at? correct? but I can't look
at some of the questions....

Team or personal questions Jun 14, 2004

Hi Zareh,
Is this the error message you received?

This term is visible only to certain teams or individuals.
You do not appear to be among them.

Such questions are posted within ProZ.com teams, or directly to one specific member. We use this function to check project-specific terminology; the reason why these questions are restricted to the team (or, for personal questions, to asker and answerer) is that they often contain confidential project details.

If a glossary entry is created on that basis, it's visible to all members, but without access to the question.

IOW teams can use the KudoZ platform for their internal terminology work. (Note that no KudoZ points are assigned for such questions.)

Hope that clarifies it.

Best regards, Ralf
