This year’s annual New England Translators Association conference will be held on Saturday, April 28 at UMass Boston.

The conference brings together academic scholars, researchers, and experts to give attendees the opportunity to learn and exchange ideas and to network with other members of the Translation and Interpretation field. The conference features four tracks including: translation, interpreting, auxiliary/support services/technology, and an academic section.

The day begins with a compelling view on immigration from our Keynote Presenter, author, and Salem State College professor, Aviva Chomsky, who will deliver her talk: A Country of Immigrants? Settler Colonialism, Immigration, and Race in the United States.

After a day of presentations, break-out sessions and networking opportunities, the conference will conclude with an endnote presentation entitled "Filthy Lucre: Translators and Money" by Chris Durban, translator and author of Translation: Getting It Right. She will share her insights about the translation market and the skills translators need to build a practice at the top end of the market in her presentation:
