'Video of the week: iPad interpreter

This week's video presents Alexander Drechsel, DG INTERPRETATION, European Commission, giving us some ideas about how the tablet can be used by interpreters in the booth.'

Not convinced Nov 27, 2013

Come on, this looks almost like an iPad commercial to me.

There's no way anyone can convince me that what he's doing is easier to do on a tablet than on a laptop. Sure it's light, but there are amazing ultrabooks out there that weigh only 1-1.5 kg and are faster and cheaper that iPads.

I doubt a conference interpreter would Nov 27, 2013

even have time to turn the tablet on, or type anything.
