interpreting quality is influenced by many factors. A good interpreter is not merely a language professional, but a communications professional.
Ideally, he/she fully understands the source (language and content), a sort of "image" forms in his mind and he/she can transfer that "image" into the target language with all its connotations. He/she is pleasant to listen to and sounds confident.
