Hello colleagues,

I am sorry if the message is in English, but I do not speak Czech yet.
I am moving to the Czech Republic soon for at least 4 years and was considering moving my tax residence there. I wanted to know if there is some information out there in English about the tax system specifically for translators or if you would be so kind as to give me a basic understanding of how a new translator would set up their business in the the Czech Republic.

Thank you

Here is a common information:

https://www.businessinfo.cz/psc/

https://www.businessinfo.cz/business-guide/

And a web of expats living in Czechia

https://www.expats.cz/

ABOUT JTP (Jednota tlumočníků a překladatelů)

The Union of Interpreters and Translators (Czech acronym JTP) was founded in 1990, and currently has around 500 members, who are professional translators, interpreters, and translatology teachers in the Czech and Slovak Republics and in other countries and four associate institutional members.
