Powwow: Toronto - Canada

Judging by past experience we still haven't found our ideal spot for our Toronto powwow. the möwenpick is too confusing and difficult to book, the Bodega is too expensive and our last attempt, the Madison Pub is too noisy (and we stubled upon some really bad service as well). The Espresso Bar Mercurio has started closing at 7-30 p.m. so that's not an option either.

The one place I can think of is Peridot Bistro at 81 Bloor East (Right across from The Bay at Yonge/bloor), where I've been for other meetings and similar and you have a choice of whether to have a meal, just appetizers or even just a drink.
However, I'm open to all suggestions you may have. ▲ Collapse | | | Elena Novski Canada Local time: 10:49 Russian to English + ... I would like to attend, but... | Sep 18, 2011 |

The Damas Meditteranean Grill sounded nice, but Victoria Park and Lawrence is too far away for anyone coming from the western part of the city (or outside the city). Better to stay on the central sections of the Subway-lines

It may be a good idea to park the car somewhere cheaper and take the subway to Yonge/Bloor. The venue is really just steps (100-150 steps) from the Subway exit, and parking in the area is not cheap... | | | Rita Pang Canada Local time: 10:49 Member (2011) Chinese to English + ... Hope it was a fun night out nonetheless! I think we can try going to the patio at Remy's next time (if it's still open by then as we're progressing into the winter months...) | | | Too bad for those who missed the event | Sep 26, 2011 |
