[NEED HELP] How to mark 100% match contents in translated document Thread poster: kakuryou

Hi All, I'm working on a translation work, and client suddenly decided they want to check only the contents updated from last version, and ask me to mark them in the exported Word document. I'm not sure if Trados can do it or not, could you please give me some advice? Thanks for your help.

For example, Trados 2011 or 2014 gives 100% hit of the translation unit (TU) in TM to the editor window as "100%", "CM", "AT" before the segment you translate etc. Explanations of these markings are in the Trados Help menu. Soonthon L. Hi Soonthon, Thanks for your reply and apologise I didn't make myself clear in my post. I mean if exported Word document can has marks on updated contents, so my client can only check on them. | | | Stepan Konev Russian Federation Local time: 23:44 English to Russian
Why don't they use SDL Trados Studio for this purpose? Export Word to sdlxliff -> you translate -> they open your translated sdlxliff in Studio and enjoy the non-100% segments. Very easy. If they want to use a software option they need to have and know how to use such software. Tomorrow they may want to take advantage of deducting 100% matches and repetitions from your pay without getting to know how it works... | |

Mark new text in source document | Aug 27, 2015 |
If the client sent you a (new) source document, with the updated sentences or paragraphs already marked or highlighted in a font different from the rest of the source text you would not have such a problem: SDL Trados would copy the marking. I'd use "Export for bilingual review" in the review tab (if you're using Studio 2014 or 2015). By default, 100% matches are marked bright green. All the rest will be new (updated) content.
