| Three taxes per invoice item? | Jan 30, 2009 |
Gianluca Marras wrote: I think it is a great tool, bu in my invoices, I add 4%, the I add 20%, and then I need to subtract 20%, I can I manage this + and - thing? Hi Luca, Do you need to apply all three taxes on a single invoice item, or do different taxes apply to different items? What are the names of these taxes? It is possible to both add and subtract taxes (specify the 20% tax to be subtracted as "-20"). But currently it is only possible to apply up to two taxes to a single invoice item. If you need support for three, that change could be made. Thanks, Jason | | | Invoice data is private and protected | Jan 30, 2009 |

Really great job! Can we have a signature to appear at the end of the message sent with the invoice like the one we have in yahoo or hotmail? It will also be great to have a slot for discounts before the title. Sometimes I have to give my client a discoutn percentage. Regards, Khaled
Thank you very much Jason. if you could delete in the box "name of the company" like that it appears my surname and name. By the way, is it possible to add below the name "freelancer" or "independant translator"? By the ways, this tools is very useful for us.

Creating an invoice template with your email address | Jan 30, 2009 |
Lüder Meyer wrote: Thanks for fixing the "Volume" field, Jason. Now that I have been able to issue some invoices I was wondering if it is possible to show my e-mail address on the invoice under my postal address and phone number. Hi Lüder, You could make a new invoice template that contains your email address. To do so, follow these steps: - Go to Settings->Invoice templates, and click "Create a new custom template"
- Enter a name for your template such as "My template"
- Copy the placeholder variable for "Your email address" (%pm_contact_email%) into the invoice template where you would like it to appear. (To determine the placeholder variable, select "Your email address" from the drop down list. The variable name will appear in the field next to it.).
- Click "Preview as HTML" and "Preview as PDF" at the bottom of the form, to ensure your new invoice template looks the way you want.
- When you are satisfied with how it appears, save the template.
You can specify the template to use for an invoice in the "edit invoice" form. You can cause your new template to be used by default for all new invoices by clicking "Save as default" on the template settings page. I hope this helps. Best regards, Jason

I have added them to the developer task list. Thanks, Jason | | | Removed your company name, Sandrine | Jan 30, 2009 |

Hi Sandrine, I have removed your company name from your profile. Your full name will now appear in place of your company name. You can modify your invoice template so it appears however you like. To add "freelancer" or "independent translator" beneath your name in your invoices, please refer to this earlier post which describes how to create a custom invoice template. I'm glad this tool is useful for you! Best regards, Jason
Thank you for the tool, I will use it !

Some currencies, at least the yen, do not have decimals. It would be nice if there was an option to tell it to not show any decimals for the total. Sometimes I might charge 7.5 yen per character, but the total has to be even. For example, if it was 101 characters the total would have to be 758 yen, not 757.5 yen. | | | Lüder Meyer Switzerland Local time: 01:10 Spanish to German + ...
Thank you very much, Jason! It works perfectly now! | | | Logo/ Picture? | Jan 31, 2009 |
I made an invoice yesterday for an agency. It worked perfectly. The only thing I regret is that I wasn't able to put my logo... How are we supposed to do that? A lot of thanks again!

Italian taxes | Jan 31, 2009 |
In Italy all freelancers have to issue invoices to other Italian firms with Net total + 4% social security (known as INPS) + 20% value added tax (known as IVA) -20% advance on income tax (to be paid by the client, and known as "ritenuta d'acconto") So a 1000 euro net invoice adds 40 euros of social security, and then the IVA and ritenuta cancel each other out. I could post a PDF if required (but how?) I think we need to connect the "new client" in the invoice creation process with the ProZ's Blueboard searching so that we can use the ProZ database of outsourcers for our invoices.
