Source text - English In the majority of cases, excessive worrying is completely unproductive. It costs time and energy. Excessive worrying about the future often goes hand in hand with anxiety. You have a concern and you always ask: ‘What if …?’ Your muscles tense unnecessarily and in the long term you feel more and more tired and apathetic. Worrying about things which have happened in the past gives rise to feelings of dejection and anger. Worriers often know perfectly well that they cannot change the past but they still remain caught up in negative memories and can no longer concentrate on school, work or household duties.
