Hello,

I have been working with editorial translation for over four years. I translate books on various subjects from English/Spanish to Portuguese and perform proofreading and copyediting work on Brazilian Portuguese texts. I also provide services to book publishers, independent authors, professors, and content producers, which include books, videos, websites, web pages, social media, and academic projects such as doctorates and masters.

I currently work as a proofreader and copy editor for a Brazilian company called Consulfarma, the pioneer company in technical and scientific mentoring services for the compounding pharmacies market in Brazil. I perform this work on scientific papers, journals, magazines, studies and technical articles about medicine.

In 2022, I created a profile on Instagram named @guil.languages, where I teach languages and give translation tips in a fun way through songs, movie clips, and comic reels. The aim is to help translators improve how they perform translations and help those who are learning a new language.

I worked for three years as a salesman and event organizer at a bookstore called Leitura, which is the largest bookstore chain in Brazil, with more than 80 stores distributed all over the country. Furthermore, I also participated in specialized training for major publishers such as Penguin Random House, HarperCollins Brasil, among others.

In 2018, I graduated in Medicine at the University Center of Jaguariúna and, in the same city, I worked as a doctor at a medical laboratory science, collecting and preparing biochemical tests to assess the vital functions of patients and diagnose infectious diseases. Finally, I studied Biological Sciences at PUC (University of Campinas) and went to Music College (UNICAMP).
