In a document on safety guidelines for the manufacture, use, etc. of gas pipelines. The pipes used are made of steel, if that's any help.

Suggestion: Try checking Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards for onshore gas pipelines (do a Google search for CSA). They are available in French and English.

HI Sam, the standard I was referring to is the CSA/ACNOR Z184-M1979, which was
replaced by the Code des réseaux de transport et de distribution de gaz, a
regulation of the Gas Distribution Act of Quebec. Unfortunately, the
Province of Quebec\'s website does not contain the full document, so I
couldn\'t search for the term. I have print copies of the old standard, but
looking for the term in a book is impossible. However, I did find this
website:
http://www.rd-tech.com/PDF/
Go down to two documents called Focus_F_web and the one below. The first
one is in French and uses the term pièce de forme, which is translated in
the second document simply as a \"shape\" so I suppose you could use that or
\"shaped\" part or component. The technology is consistent with what you need.
Hope this helps.
