English term

as supplied by you

English to French Law/Patents Internet, e-Commerce
Upon receipt of payment from a customer or after credit card authorisation, we will either (i) notify you per e-mail that a customer has paid for the software product and that you can send the purchased product to the customer, or (ii) send to the customer the software product or a license key which will enable the customer to use the software product as a licensed copy, """as supplied by you""".

Impossible de formuler quelque chose de bien français !

Un grand merci d'avance.

Vanessa Roche (X) Apr 17, 2006:
Merci lorette; contente d'avoir pu contribuer à cette traduction...
lorette (asker) Apr 17, 2006:
J'ai également posé la question En>En, voir http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1311891
lorette (asker) Apr 17, 2006:
Bon, me voilà avec deux interprétations différentes... "dont la fourniture..." et "telle que..." C'est bien le "as " qui me pose problème, et non "supplied by you".
Vanessa Roche (X) Apr 16, 2006:
si vous souhaitez le mettre sous forme d'obligation contractuelle, ce serait "dont la fourniture vous incombe" (ou qqchose dans ce genre).

lorette (asker) Apr 16, 2006:
comment cela ?
Vanessa Roche (X) Apr 16, 2006:
alors la question est peut-être de mettre le "as supplied by you" sous forme d'obligation contractuelle?
lorette (asker) Apr 16, 2006:
Bonjour, merci de vos réponses. Je suis également de votre avis "Tony", mais je bloque sur la formulation qui doit sonner un peu "juridique" tout de même...

« fourni de votre part »

I think what they mean is that they will send the [goods, or whatever] to the customer in such a way as to make it LOOK AS IF they had actually been sent by the 'real' supplier.

I don't know how to express this in FR, but here's just one idea, perhaps?

telle que vous l'avez soumise

.... licensed copy, as supplied by you.
Si je comprends bien, il s'agirait de la copie telle que soumise ou présentée par le fournisseur (*you*, en l'occurrence).

comme si vous l'aviez vous-même fourni

The writer suggests that the product should be sent direct to the customer once they notify the supplier that they have received payment alternatively, they themselves will send the product but it will appear as if the supplier had sent it....
Yet, it could also simple mean "que vous nous avez fournis"...?ou "tels que ceux que vous nous avez fournis"....
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : Yes, I interpret the 'as' here as being more or less equivalent to 'as if...'
