For an Outotec user manual I am reviewing about a range of analysers, samplers, etc., for the mining industry, to analyze slurry. The plant automation system controls them all.
Automation, automatisation, automatique, robotique... the translation says "robotique" but I am skeptical so I want to make sure.
Remote – PSI 500i will control the sample lines according to specific start/stop commands from the plant ***automation system***.
Alarm state is indicated by a flashing light in the front of the PCS cabinet, “WARNING”-text on Main (and various other) displays on the Panel PC and the ***automation system*** alarm status variable.
The analyzer has been put to standby by the ***automation system***.
Some basic control functionalities can also be accessed through the ***automation system*** interface.

Well, to avoid having to repeat 'système d'automisation' too often, you might find this helpful for the whole expression; this is the solution I often use when translating 'automate' from FR into EN 'automation system' — when, of course, that is actually what it means!
