For a gearbox which is not homologated to be eligible to fitted to a car, it would first have to be homologated as an Erratum (ER) to the original homologation form. By classifying a gearbox as a VO, its use is limited by the accompanying waiver paperwork. Article 84(b) of the Regulations only allows changes of gearbox in compliance with the 2010 Homologation Regulations for 2000 Kit-Variant and Diesel 2000 (Circuit) Article 7.2 Erratum (ER).
