Arabic term

مطرح الضريبة

Arabic to English Bus/Financial Law: Taxation & Customs
This can't be "tax location" or "tax venue" (or so I believe) based on the following sentence where the word "ihtisab" appears:

يعطي الادارة الضريبية المعلومات التي تفيد احتساب مطرح الضريبة

"ihtisab" means in general "computing" or "calculating" and that cannot theoretically apply to "tax location"... Any idea how to clear this ambiguity? Thanks.

Discussion

Moodi May 28, 2008:
Only a minority of taxpayers pay tax directly to HM Revenue every year. The majority of taxpayers pay their tax through (DEDUCTIONS) that are made from their income before they receive it. This is called deduction at source.
I think Nadia is correct.
Shabbir Limbada May 28, 2008:
I think its a typo and should be مصلح الضريبة او مصلحة الضريبة

taxable input

'taxable input' can best demostrate the meaning because it is well known that taxation can be both credit (in the form of rebates/ returns if the tax payer falls within a certain low-income bracket) or debit (in the form of deductions from the calculations or tax claims if cannot be deducted from calculations right away).
