لتنسف شكّي

History
Hi everyone,
I'm not sure what this means. It's a scene where someone is trying to cover up a stain. Does she mean she went back to her place to try to reassure me?
فعلتُ ذلك، كنت لا أزال متشكّكا في قدرة هذا على تغطية الفعلة، عادت إلى مكانها لتنسف شكّي.
Thanks!

What others already mentioned + clear (up) doubt + using the opposite such as "to confirm ..."
فعلتُ ذلك، كنت لا أزال متشكّكا في قدرة هذا على تغطية الفعلة، عادت إلى مكانها لتنسف شكّي.
If we got the meaning right, then all is ok. However, something feels off about this sentence, especially with the use of هذا and ها in مكانها. "Cover up a stain" could be used literally or metaphorically here. If used literally and "عادت إلى مكانها" refers to the actual stain, the meaning would be totally different; it means "proved my doubts". Just stating my doubts for you to double-check the meaning through context.

Discussion
Here's my friendly tip for her: spice up those grades with a spiffy explanation that matches the chosen response.
It stings when you're left with less than four points, and it's as predictable as the sunrise because she almost never switches her selection.
We're not trying to stir the pot here; our discussion is like a treasure hunt, aiming to uncover the mystery behind why those pristine four-point scores are as rare as unicorns. 🦄
