Italian to English Tech/Engineering Automation & Robotics
Hello,

I'm trying to understand the process described here in order to translate the second sentence in English but I have no clue what they are trying to say. If someone can help me, I'll be very grateful!!

Proposed translations

29 mins

(at least) one of the signals must be received

This is not as simple as it looks, because a signal can't send a response - it is a response. I wonder if it's bad writing. Anyway, I think this is the meaning.

47 mins

at least one of the two signals must be activated

otherwise the check is not/cannot be undertaken correctly due to a system block

either of the signals needs to send back (mimic) a response

'either of' as the question stands -> if prefixed with: almeno uno dei due = at least one of the two.

... if not, it means that the system is jammed and the analysis is not being properly performed.

deve, as in other Romance lingos FR devoir ES deber, can connote: must but also is due to, needs or even is likely to.

PS mid-confidence level for query over the mimicking angle.
