Spanish term

columna empotrada

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Architecture
Unfortunately, I can't offer any context. The term appears as a sort of handwritten explanation for something on a sketch from the 1960s by an Argentine artist who is also an architect.
"Embedded column"?
Thanks

You should explain how you arrived at 'embedded', which I think is probably the correct answer.

There appear to be a lot more hits for "engaged column" than "embedded column".
