PROCESS STRUCTURE –
STEEL STRUCTURE CALCULATION REPORT


STRUCTURAL DESIGN CRITERIA & ASSUMPTIONS
The following criteria and assumptions are considered during design of the structure.

 Moment resisting frame beams are provided in E-W direction to transfer lateral forces to foundation.
 Structure is braced in N-S direction from base plate to Roof.
 At the base of steel column Shear key is provided to transfer heavy lateral shear forces from steel structure to concrete pedestals.
 Piping loads considered in the design as per the loads obtained from piping department in XX Document.
 Thermal friction loads for pipes has been calculated as per X.
 Cable tray load has been considered as per Y based on maximum allowed span of 3 m.
