German to English Medical Medical (general) Optometry

I am translating the contents pages of an optometry syllabus, and this is the ONLY word that I can't find ANYWHERE. The translated patents I've consulted include the word just like that, and looking at monolingual glossaries simply can't work out which of the millions of terms fit this one!
