In the isolated guinea pig trachea, relaxing effect of tulobuterol was almost as potent as that of isoproterenol or salbutamol, but less potent than that of procaterol, fenoterol, or clenbuterol. However, tulobuterol was superior to isoproterenol, salbutamol, procaterol and fenoterol in the selectivity for the tracheal smooth muscle to compare the relaxing action in tracheal smooth muscle with the -excitatory action in right atrium in guinea pigs .
