Translation PDF file. How do I handle this. இழை இடுபவர்: Adela Van Gils

Hello. I have to translate some words in a PDF file and never did before. I have checked the forum information on PDF, but cannot find a simple answer to my problem. Can I change the PDF in Word? If so how.
Can I just make the translation in Word; is that the usual practice. Pls. help me.

It depends on if the PDF file is an image or text file.
And it depends upon if you have Adobe software, or if you only have Adobe Reader.
Tell me, and I will explain how to do it. | | | Brainstorm ஆஸ்திரியா Local time: 14:26 ஜெர்மன் - ஆங்கிலம் + ...
It depends what origin the pdf has - in some cases you can save a pdf as rtf and work on the file in Word. If it's a scan however ... | | | Yes, you can | Nov 10, 2004 |
Hi,
1. Select all text [ctrl+a] in PDF file, copy [ctrl+c] and paste [ctrl+v] to MS word.
2. If you have Acrobat 6.0, you can save file as .doc, .rtf, or plain text .txt.

If it is a short file you may just make the translation in Word (print the file and use it as a hardcopy or open the file and work with two windows -acrobat and word- on your screen)
Working with pdf files is not so easy if you don't have any experience. But don't forget to check the forum again for the complicated solutions such as converting pdf to word using:
ABBYY Finereader
ABBYY PDF Transformer
ScanSoft PDF Converter
SolidConverterPDF
or Adobe Acrobat ("save as", "copy and paste" or "paper capture" commands)

that you tipps work only, when the Acrobat file was created from text (and does not contain ie scanned pages), is not protected, was not created on a different platform (MAC/PC - then you can get trouble with text in columns or tables).
Processing Acrobat files is not that easy, as mentioned above.
However, the PDF-converter from Abbyy (costs today 39 Euros) does its work in quite good way, so for the most purposes it will be sufficient.
With documents containing complicated formating it is allways better to ask the customer for editable file.
