I have been always very interested in good references for translators. My motto is always: life is too short to make one same thing twice or to rediscover the wheel (don´t know exactly how the refrain is in English, hope you understand me).

Since I have been "away" of the reference scene for quite a long time, I would like to update my knowledge reading a good book (if possible the "best" book) about the topic.

I am specially interested in references (dictionaries, online dictionaires, databases, translation memories, corpora, etc, etc) into Spanish, but of course if there are very good projects for other languages, I would also be interested in promoting them for Spanish as well.

Is there by the way....some wikileaks of the translation memory scene? I am sure there is....ja, ja.

And continiuing with wikileaks, is there any project to translate wikileaks material into different languages? That would be a good task maybe for translators without frontiers.


I know, I know, it is a difficult question/issue.....but a question/issu anyway. We cannot live as it does not exist....

I search for the word wikileaks and found only 15 entries in the whole fori of Proz (maybe I made a mistake in the search...). ▲ Collapse
