No matter how hard I try, I simply cannot get Dragon NS to write "Next" at the beginning of a sentence or line of text. Is there any way around this?

PS: I've responded to both your posts, but they don't seem to have uploaded yet. Need to go out soon, will check back later.

weird, works fine here Aug 7, 2018

I'm using Dragon Professional Individual 15 on Windows 10 (64-bit), and it works fine here. Have a look:

What version of Dragon are you using exactly, and what are you trying to dictate into, i.e. what program?

I have that problem with the word "correct" Aug 7, 2018

I've just tried that out with my Dragon and don't have any problem with "next". However, I have a similar problem with the word "correct" when it comes at the beginning of the sentence. It also occurs with words like "backspace". You should be able to prevent this problem by pressing the shift key when you dictate the problematic word. That should automatically put Dragon into "dictation mode", so that it doesn't recognise the word as a command.

Another workaround would be to say so

Another workaround would be to say something slightly different (preferably a nonsense word) and either correct it or insert a different spoken form for "next" into the vocabulary editor. For instance, you could say "Nexty" and then backspace to correct it.

Unfortunately, the shift key solution didn't work for me in my current setup (laptop with two keyboards attached)…
However, I've tried the nonsense word solution for other glitches and it worked. I may try it later.

I'm using Dragon 13.0 (I think it may be the home version rather than professional, it doesn't say) on a laptop with Windows 10 and WF Classic.

Dragon works fine for everything else, except that it does the same thing, refusing to recognise "Line" at the start of a line either.
