Hi all,

First time poster here.

I hope someone can provide some guidance or advice. I'm looking to translate and publish a Russian-language book with a publication date of 1965, ie. 49 years ago. The author died several decades ago. What are the legal ramifications, if any, of publishing a translation this year?

Thanks in advance
Jay

It used to be 25 in the Soviet Union, or even less--until the author's death.
