cusut cu ata alba = inselatorie neindemanatica, ceva care e menit sa-ti arunce praf in ochi dar e vizibil ca ata alba pe o panza neagra

"Ca nuca-n perete" mi se pare o varianta buna, desi nu reda exact sensul din EN. Sau poate "ca groparul la nunta"? Poate totusi ceva mai putin macabru :)
