From a specification of graphics and printing for a champagne house. The illustration shows a bottle with two separate outlines larger than the bottle around it. I have found "plug-in graphical animation" but am not familiar with it. Here is the text:

Cette animation prend la forme du contour de la photographie, cette forme est utilisée en double (deux filets décalés l’un par rapport à l’autre) avec un jeu de couleur sur les filets entourant l’image.

Cette animation est composée de deux filets décalés et ceux-ci font un jeu de couleur. Gives me a picture of the neon lights one sees on American movies theatres; the entrances. I got filiform and filamentary for filaire also

From the description give, I guess that's what it would be; I think the term usually refers to wire-frame (animation, modelling etc.), but I don't feel that those terms would be quite so appropriate here.

: according to the description, this is not at all "animation filaire/fil de fer" - wireframe as you said - nor is it line art. They get "filaire" from "filet". I think it's just one of those kitsch flashy light animation jobs ;-)

Thanks, Sue! As I think I made it quite clear, the usual meaning of 'filaire' would not seem to apply here; I think you're probably right about the 'kitsch flashy light thing', though it's hard to see if this is genuine animation, or not
