French term
montage d'usinage
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Metallurgy / Casting
machined metal parts
The GDT gives an explanation of this term, as follows:
Dispositif de fixation de la pièce > montage d'usinage,
but offers no suggestions for a translation... and I wondering if anyone can help me with an equivalent English term.
The 'pièces' in question here are metal parts, which are being made for use in gearboxes. It looks like it would be some sort of 'holding device' but I wondered whether there was a more specific term for this sort of thing. Not much further context, as it simply appears in a list of instructions in a procedure which doesn't go into great detail.
