valoriser

Environment & Ecology
Recycling
What is the best term to use for valoriser?
The sentence it appears in is as follows:
'• 100 % des déchets triés puis recyclés ou valorisés
A glossary I have indicated 'managed/recovered/processed'
I'd like some peer review on which is the best term.
Many thanks
Louise

upcycle
'sort' is one step, but 'upcycling' means you give a new 'value' to the waste

'Valoriser' seems to be mostly for organic or household waste which can't be recycled, but can be incinerated for energy >> value

use for other purposes / re-use
One of those horrible words which always seems to have a different meaning! Used for other purposes or re-used might work in your particular case, although recovered might work in a different context

Reference:
it just means used
for a purpose, which may mean burned for heat - none of your words covers this eventuality. "put to a good use" is the best that comes to my mind, but this doesn't sound very professional...
