J'ai donné mon avis quant à l'interprétation du terme 'opportunités' qui fait partie de la question si j'ai bien lu.

@ Emmanuella I think FPC has explained the issue. It is in the English context that "maturation" here would not sound right. If it sounded right I would have used it in the beginning and not posted the question.

@ Emannuella Ok, je ne sais pas. J'ai interprété "développement" au sens des affaires, pas au sens de "progrès social et technologique d'une communauté", mais le traducteur qui a tout le texte source sous les yeux pourra discriminer. Mais dans le liens que vous envoyez c'est aussi question d'affaires. L'idée que j'en tire est qu' "il faut développer" au sens de faire monter en puissance la diffusion des energies renouvelables et le chiffre d'affaires potentiel du secteur pour en tirer des opportunités de projets/contrats

@ FPC Yes, thanks. I guess I was looking for synonyms for "maturation". Using the direct equivalent would sound odd in this context.

Je ne pense pas qu'il s'agisse de 'business opportunities' mais 'd'opportunités de développement' comme indiqué.

"à" I found two versions of this on Google. "Contribuer à" is different form "contribuer": the first means to assist towards a goal, whereas the second has connotation of being the person assigned the responsibility to deliver the result (whether they work in a team or alone). Anyway whatever their level of responsibility/ accountability, "maturation des transactions/opportunités" should be something along the lines of "finalize business opportunities and contracts/negotiations"
