Customer satisfaction survey
This appears in a market research survey about an electric car from a well-known French brand. I'm afraid I don't have a lot more context than this as the terms simply appear as a bulleted list, but it relates to why the customer would have brought the car.
I assume this means that the customer following the car's development/genesis? Could anyone corroborate this for me? I'm sorry there's not much to go on.
Many thanks
Louise

French term (edited):
la genèse des modèles
Selected
the conception/development/arrival of the models
"Genèse" is being used in the sense of the particular model having been developed and produced, the birth of the model if you like.
I cannot be much more helpful in terms of turn of phrase, but the sense is there. Without original language context, it is difficult to offer much more than a word for word translation, which is not often that helpful, or little more than a dictionary.

introduction/launch of new models
Even if 'genèse' is closer to birth or evolution, most customer do not really follow the design stages and development of new models (or perhaps do but just to a minimum extent)
So I would go for sth like this as this is the moment when the car's specification and performance figures are likely to be available to customers and are then analysed by the specialists like 'Top Gear' (BBC series)

: This is closer to what I had in mind, particularly "introduction" which suggests a slower process than "launch". Slight divergence with your reading on "suivi" though; the original states the client has indeed followed the launch.
