The Veteran's Day storm of march 11-14, 1888
It is referring to a LES (lake effect snow) storm in the Great Lakes. I cannot find any suitable translation, because "la tormenta del día de los veteranos" I do not think it is a suitable translation in Spanish.
I also have no idea how to translate LES.
