Coincido totalmente con Silviantonia. El instinto grita "¡convección!", pero la razón grita "¡cuidado!". Preguntaría al cliente para aclararlo. Es en mi opinión arriesgado preguntarlo aquí sin confirmarlo con el cliente.

No hay duda que pudiera ser cualquiera de las dos, pero el punto es saber a qué se refiere tu pregunta. Yo realmente le preguntaría al cliente.

Estoy de acuerdo con ambos... Desafortunadamente en el inglés es mas comun que las personas no se expresen adecuadamente.

Convention oven puede referirse a cualquiera de los dos, Convection oven o Conventional oven. Pero al hacer una búsqueda en Google me encontré que se refería a los del tipo de convección. En realidad hice la pregunta para cerciorarme de la traducción.

Convention oven is also used for conventional oven; see my West Bend Convention Oven link below. It might be a short form of conventional, but it is a valid use by well-known oven appliance manufacturers.

Es "convection" en inglés. El convencional es "conventional". Yo le dí el agree a Jairo asumiendo que es el primer caso. El de convección tiene un ventilador que distribuye el calor.

horno de convección

Funcionan por medio de aire caliente que se calienta a través de unas resistencias y que luego es expulsado por unos ventiladores que hacen que circule el aire caliente por todo el receptáculo. Esto nos permite cocinar a varios niveles, con el consiguiente ahorro de espacio, tiempo y de energía. El calentamiento del horno es más rápido y suelen estar dotados de vaporizadores para compensar la perdida de humedad del alimento.

A combined rotisserie and convection oven (10) includes a cooking chamber (12) having a first end and a second end. A fan (69) is in fluid communication with the cooking chamber (12) for creating an airflow in the cooking chamber, and a removable spit (58) is rotatably suspended between the first and second ends of the cooking chamber (12). A heating element (44) for providing the cooking temperature is provided in the cooking chamber, and is movable to a plurality of positions within the cooking chamber.

Why don't you read my link? Thanks!/ It could be misspelled, I am not arguing that, but if it is referring to a conventional oven, and it is an improper usage, then the translation should be as if it said conventional. That's my point.
