could be raised or not, clearly edged or not, in a rectangle or not - but generally an area that's been tilled and planted. looking for something that will go over with the mostly Mexican population in Seattle, but will also be understandable to others. the local gardening service is using cama (!!). how widely understood do you think bancal would be? other suggestions?
