For the case of Rabeprazole, it can be justified that the role of acid stress testing is largely irrelevant as (a) the inherent lack of stability of *(pyridylmethyl)sulfinyl-2-substituted in mildly acidic pH* is well documented and (b) the drug product will be enteric coated, with the primary function to avoid any contact of the tablet core (containing Rabeprazole Sodium) to any acidic environments.
