Например, ребенок весит 10кг, ему следует ввести 150мг препарата, что будет составлять более 1 ампулы/флакона(1.5). В связи с тем, что не разрешается вводить в одноместо более 1мл суспензии(1 ампулу), то оставшуюся часть-0.5 второй ампулы надо ввести в другое бедро, но это все вместе будет одной дозой препарата.
Поскольку за основу взят препарат Palivizumab и исследование проводится в сравнении, давайте обратимся к дозировке этого препарата. Он вводится тоже маленьким детям, из расчета на вес ребенка. Введение начинается перед сезоном ОРЗ(к которым относится РС инфекция)- 1-ая инъекция, потом продолжается ежемесячно, по 1 инъекции, общее кол-во 5-6.
Это белковый препарат, содержащий антитела. Он в ампулах/флаконах по 100мг порошкообразного вещества (типа интерферона, если Вы видели). Перед употреблением следует смешать с 1мл стерильной воды для иньъекций, получается суспензия. Ее и вводят внутримышечно, в бедро. Указано, что если количество раствора превышает 1мл, то следует разделить это количество на 2-3 инъекции(это же белковая суспензия, она плохо рассасывается).
В отношении чайных ложек- конечно, речь идет о препарате, не о крови. Дело в том, что в США многие лекарственные вещества для детей дозированы в чайных ложках, есть специальные шприцы -дозаторы, градуированные в 1/2ч.л. и пр. Но я видела(у нас есть дома)только дозировку при помощи шприца/капельницы для перорального назначения препаратов. Полагаю, что эта схема действует и в данном случае. Мамам понятнее, даже медсестрам, которые проводят вакцинацию- тоже легче ориентироваться.

Palivizumab is indicated for the prevention of serious lower respiratory tract disease caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in pediatric patients at high risk of RSV disease. Safety and efficacy were established in infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and infants with a history of prematurity ( 35 weeks gestation).
Pharmacology
Palivizumab is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that binds to the F-protein of RSV. The drug exhibits neutralizing and fusion-inhibitory activity against RSV. These activities inhibit RSV replication.4 Palivizumab serum concentrations of  40 mcg/mL have been shown to reduce pulmonary RSV replication in the cotton rat model of RSV infection by 100-fold.4
Palivizumab is a composite of human (95%) and murine (5%) antibody sequences. As such, it has a low rate of inducing immunogenic reactions. The incidence of anti-humanized antibody reactivity was less than 2% in clinical trials.
Dosage
The recommended dose of palivizumab for prevention of RSV is 15 mg/kg administered intramuscularly once a month during the RSV season. Patients who develop an RSV infection should continue to receive the monthly injections. The first dose should be administered before the start of the RSV season, and subsequent doses should be administered monthly throughout the season (usually October/November to April) to maintain protection.4 (5-6 doses)
To prepare palivizumab for administration, reconstitute the 100 mg vial with 1 mL of sterile water for injection. Add the sterile water to the vial slowly and swirl for 30 seconds to avoid foaming. Do not shake the vial. Let the reconstituted vial stand at room temperature for a minimum of 20 minutes until the solution clarifies. The drug must be administered within 6 hours of reconstitution. Withdraw the correct dose from the vial and administer IM in the anterolateral aspect of the thigh.4 The gluteal muscle should not be used routinely as an injection site because of risk of damage to the sciatic nerve. Injection volumes over 1 mL should be given as a divided dose.4Dosage Forms
Synagis is supplied as single-use vials containing 100 mg of lyophilized product. The product requires storage at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (35.6 and 46.6 degrees F) in its original container; it should not be frozen. Once the vial has been reconstituted, administration of the product should be performed within 6 hours as it contains no preservative.4 See Dosage section for reconstitution instructions.


Economic Issues
Palivizumab will be available at a slightly lower cost than RSV IVIG (see tables below). However, there is more potential for waste because the smallest infants only need half a vial of palivizumab. If doses can be coordinated to use an entire vial in the same day, then the prices shown below will apply.

Suspension liquid: (A special cup for measuring dosage is provided.) The usual dose for children 4 to 11 months of age is 1/2 teaspoon; 12 to 23 months, 3/4 teaspoon; 2 to 3 years, 1 teaspoon; 4 to 5 years, 1-1/2 teaspoons.
Some packages will use an age range to figure dose, but it is more effective to dose by weight. The dose is 4.5 milligrams per pound of body weight (for metric users, that's 10mg per kilo). For example: a 22-pound child would get about 100mg (22 X 4.5 =99). This comes out to one teaspoon of the children's liquid. Some books recommend half this dose for "low grade" fevers below 102.5 but I have found this to just wear off sooner, requiring more medication.

Note: as of February 2003, Motrin changed their dropper to a syringe that is identical to the Advil syringe. The old dropper was like the Pediacare Fever Drops - if you have the old dropper, just follow the instructions for the Pediacare drops, below.
Different dropper sizes: Pediacare Fever Drops come with a 1.25ml (¼ tsp) dropper, whereas Motrin and Advil Infant's Drops come with a 1.875ml syringe for dosing. The amount you are giving is the same, you are just giving it in a different sized dropper.
• Pediacare: ½ dropper = 0.625ml, and 1 dropper = 1.25ml
• Advil/Motrin Infant drops: 1/3 syringe = 0.625ml, 2/3 syringe = 1.25ml, and 1 syringe = 1.875ml.
Don't let the dropper/syringe difference confuse you. The milligram amount you are giving is the same, you are just giving it in a different sized syringe.
