20. When I make a phone call to a ported number, will I pay a price different from the one prior to portation?

The price of the calls to ported numbers, both on fixed network and on mobile network, might or might not be different from the prices paid before portation of the number we want to dial. That depends exclusively on tariff tables, exercised by our fixed or mobile operator, which may include different prices depending on the destiny network of our call. In order to allow the users to be aware of the prices of calls to ported numbers, the fixed telephone service and land mobile service operators, by rule of ANACOM ( determination of 18/04/02 ), must keep an informative telephonic service on call tariffs, for ported numbers, whenever their tariff plans might imply that a call to a ported number becomes more expensive than before the number´s portation.

These informative services should inform users about prices on voice calls, data and short messages, based on identification by the operator, of the destination call’s network on which the customer is claiming tariff information.
