anchor store

GBK English to Portuguese Bus/Financial Retail
Definition from About.com:
A major retail store used to drive business to smaller retailers. These larger department stores or grocery stores are generally part of a retail chain and are the prominent business in a shopping mall.
Example sentences:
The presence of an anchor store can entice consumers to visit the shopping center or mall, and possible continue to shop at the smaller stores in the complex after visiting the anchor store. (wiseGEEK)
Conventional wisdom holds that a mall requires at least two anchor stores to be successful, and in the standard linear, bipolar mall design, one of these stores will be located at each end, so that shoppers traveling from one to the other will traverse the entire length of the mall, passing by the rest of the stores found within. (everything2.com)
An in-depth review of West London undertaken earlier this year identified an untapped opportunity in West London. We have therefore agreed terms to secure an anchor store at The White City Development. (FashionUnited)

Loja âncora

Definition from Wikipedia:
&quot;Uma loja âncora é nada mais do que uma loja no shopping center que se destaca perante as outras, pois são maiores em área em relação as outras e geralmente são conhecidas nacionalmente.<br /><br />Uma loja âncora é muito importante para o início do funcionamento de um shopping, pois cria fluxos de público. As lojas âncoras foram muito disputadas pelos shoppings centers entre as décadas de 70 e 80, para alavancar os shopping centers.&quot;
Example sentences:
(Resposta ProZ)
Note from asker:
I'm guessing it means public.
So, allowing public access to the proceedings in the Judge's house, but I don't know if there is a proper legal term for this in English.
Thanks Althea, I have amended my answer accordingly. Doors kind of wide open, after all!

Thank you, everyone! This is fun! :)
agree Rafael Anselmé : For sure, this can be a worldwide fashion design, though. If you take as an example Armani in Shopping Leblon, where I live, it is an achor store.

https://www.pewforum.org/2021/06/29/religion-in-india-tolerance-and-segregation/ it lists the six religions, but why the half??? listed the eight religions. The Republic of India recognizes the personal laws of ***five communities: Hindus (including Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists), Muslims, Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians. ... For the moment, only Sikhs have a separate marriage act of their own. ... Por enquanto, apenas os Sikhs têm um ato de casamento separado próprio https://www.uiw.edu/eccl/_docs/hinduism-buddhism.pdf Overlapping areas of Kindu, sihk and jainism, related by development
On January 20, the government of India met a long-standing demand of the Jain community and officially declared them as India’s sixth religious minority community after Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Zoroastrians. declared the sixth, making total of seven, Hindu plus the recognised minorities, was Jainism in the middle of being officially declared the seventh religion??? What year, Jan 20?? https://www.business-standard.com/article/opinion/united-by-dharma-divided-by-law-114012100308_1.html
Our nation has six point five religious....MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!
Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism are always included in the list, being known as the "Big Five". Some scholars also include other religions, such as Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, or the Baháʼí Faith, in the category.
This must have been incorrectly transcribed. Or there it likely something after "religious" to complete the phrase, like "religious persons in each group of 7 people (or 10 people, but in India, it would be 7, guess). 6.5 million would be ridiculous, and 6.5 billion is five times their population. 6.5 religions also doesn't make sense, as the guy wouldn't state in a speech that there is something like a half religion. So I"d ask you to please add the neext two lines of the text here.
Maybe there is a word missing at the end
More context please. All these answers are possible except for 6.5 billion which is more than the whole population of India. If you could inform two sentences on each side that would help.
