Caros colegas:

"We still use the paddle, we used the paddle 30 years ago. We still give pushups, we gave pushups 30 years ago. You know. They still run casitas here, from the bottom - from the gate to the top."

"When they have a one or a zero on their point sheet form the day before, they get - for every one they have, they get one casita, and if they get a zero, they get two casitas, but they can't run more than three in a day."

"There´s one right here... and then there´s one in the back too... they'll heal in a couple of days, though. This one was a - a pretty big one about a week and a half ago but it's healed now. Just gotta take care of them."

"So how did you feel about the run?"

"Tired. Upset."

Alguém sabe do que se trata esse procedimento?

Grata!

casita runs There were also things called casita runs, where, depending on which house you were at , ( being at their mountain location), had to run up and down a 45-50 degree slope , touch the door of the Founder's casita and then do them again. ...........Here I was forced to run casitas which was a mountainous hill at a 55-60 degree angle. we were timed and if we didn't do it in time we started over.

run casitas Swats are administered with a leather strap. I had welts and bruises on the back of my butt and legs. After the swats I was then made to run casitas (my shorts rubbing against the back of my legs – I will never forget how painful that was)

Casitas casita(s)
Casita(s) is a small wood frame house common in the Caribbean and other parts of the Third World. During the XX c. casitas were transformed by the introduction of balloon-frame wood construction. Casitas are found in rural areas of all of the Pan-Caribbean region. In New York City casitas began to appear in Puerto Rican barrios across the city, particularly in neighborhoods like the Lower East Side Loisaida and East Harlem el barrio. They also were found in areas of the Bronx and Brooklyn. Casitas became key neighborhood havens, social clubs for block associations, families, and others in search of spaces and places that were culturally sensitive. Most casitas have been destroyed due to real-estate re-development in the Lower East Side and East Harlem.
