This turn of speech seems to be from the Balearic Islands meaning "don't waste time and money doing non-essential things", but I'd like to know if anyone can confirm that and if you can think of a fixed, idiomatic expression in English that would mean the same thing. The entire line was:

No conec aquesta frase feta, ni tampoc no l'he trobada enlloc (ni tan sols a l'enciclopèdia de paremiologia en vuit volums on sempre ho acostumo a trobar tot...).
De totes maneres, a mi la frase em sona més com un sinònim de "no tot es pot comprar amb diners" o "no tot se pot pagar amb diners". Podria ser en el teu text? Per a aquesta frase he trobat els equivalents en castellà "lo que no va en lloros va en quebrantos" i "oro es lo que oro vale".
Espero que algú te'n pugui donar l'equivalent en anglès.
