Arabic term

فوّشه

Arabic to English Other Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
Hi all,
I'm wondering if you can help me to translate this idiomatically into US English. It appears in a few isolated sentences in a project I am working on:
-كاد الولد أن يغرق لولا مساعدة أخي، لقد فوّشه
-وضع عمر البالون في البحر وفوّشه على سطح الماء
- إستطاع رامي ان ينقذ الفتى، لقد فوّشه في بركة السباحة.

I can't find it anywhere, is the verb فوّش or something else? I'm grateful for your thoughts.

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Murke says he turned his jeans into a life jacket that kept him afloat for over three hours. He was later rescued by a coast guard crew.
