Looking for the technical terminology here, of course. :)

ring bonded (or perhaps linked) quinolones? somehow sounds a bit off to me and googling hasn´t proven to be particularly resourceful. thank you!

P.S. sorry for the lack of context but there isn´t anything else to go on except for a bunch of diagrams.

Tracy, thanks for the suggestion. That is definitely a possibility, unfortunately I can barely make out "ringverkn�pfte Chinolone" on the page the copy is so bad. The diagrams (and the noted chemicals) are practically completely washed out so I can�t be sure of much. Thank you though! I suppose I can only do my best with what they give me. :)
