Hi everyone,

In this context, does it mean that the urine smells strong? This is from a North African text.

لا أريد لأمي أن تكتشفني ورائحة بولي نافرةٌ ...

Does it mean the smell is permeating the air? Or suffocating whoever would walk into the room?

I was confused because the root نفر is associated with running away/fleeing.
