Englisch > Deutsch Technik Maschinen/Maschinenbau Ventile
Es geht um den Text eines Ventilherstellers. Unter der Überschrift "Valve list" erscheint u. a. folgender Text:

"TOTAL QUANTITY : 7 **nos.** MarkOne Globe Control Valve + 4 **nos.** pressure Regulator + 4
**nos.** 3-way valve"

Für was steht "nos." hier?

Das sieht mir doch sehr nach einer Stückliste aus. Besteht die Möglichkeit der Nachfrage beim Kunden?

Das halte ich ... ... wegen der Kleinschreibung mit abschließendem Punkt eher für unwahrscheinlich.

Stück

Aus dem Kontext geraten könnte "nos." für "Stück" stehen, dafür hätte ich im Englischen allerdings "pcs" oder "pcs." erwartet. Stammt der Text möglicherweise von einem Nichtmuttersprachler?

I meant to say that "nos." (rather than "pcs.") is strange in this particular context and in relation to Sina's suggestion "Nummer" (i.e. singular).

neutral Steffen Walter : I'd expect this to be listed at the end of the item, e.g. (as in Wolfgang's context) "7 MarkOne Globe Control Valve, NOS" (or nos, but without the full stop/period, which also indicates that "not otherwise specified" might not fit the asker's context).
