English term

Reflect and choose count (Negative behaviour) 1

English Science Education / Pedagogy School progress card
I have this term in a school progress report from the UK.

It appears in a column with Percentage of attendance to date, late to lessons, MET points.

It appears like this:

Reflect and Choose Count
(Negative behaviour)
1

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

number of times a child has sent somewhere to reflect on behaviour and make a better choice

Many years ago naughty children were made to wear a dunce's cap. Later they were just sent to stand in a corner. Younger ones had to sit on a "naughty step". Now they are told to think about their bad behaviour and make a better choice of action. So it's a count of the number of times this has been done to a child.

Should read: "has BEEN sent..."

agree philgoddard : We can't be sure, but this seems a reasonable guess. If the asker is translating this, they could just say "reprimands for negative behaviour".
