English to French Bus/Financial Finance (general) Investment

Hi. This is not part of a paid translation. I am doing a favour for a former colleague who is writing to his CIF (financial advisor) about a new investment product (an investment fund). Below is the full para:

"I trust you're well. I thought it best to send you an email as I have been concerned about the delays you have been experiencing in completing your first test case with the fund"

I'm looking for the correct translation of "test case" in this context, whereby the advisor invests some of his own money in the fund to test it out.
