In the following translation of the English, the linguist uses SCR (selective Catalytic Reduction) as SCR-hiba. Is the dash necessary.

Furthermore, we have some inconsistency in usage of error or malfunction. I also get "SCR hibája" as in the following:

Can you comment on use of dash (or not using) and the difference between hiba and hibája?
