pas de problème pour run-in = préinclusion si utilisé seul mais ici, il faut tenir compte du pre-run-in à mon avis.
On peut envisager
pre-run-in = préinclusion: peut-être des examens sommaires
run-in= introduction/préparatoire : les premiers vrais examens menant à l'inclusion dans l'étude proprement dite
